We really like the new Potenza Sport, as it’s more sporty and dynamic than the usual tyre in this category, but still perfectly usable and safe for everyday driving, which makes it unique. It’s rolling resistance, mileage and overall comfort are also on a good level, except for a slighty higher noise.

Bridgestone Potenza Sport ( 235/35 ZR19 (91Y) XL EVc )
The Asymmetric 6 is the latest addition in the Eagle F1 range, offering great compromise between every day comfort and sporty driving. While it has dynamic steering response, it’s also very good on wet and has a low rolling resistance. Definitely recommended!
Our favorite every-day performance tyre that delivers fast laps on dry circuits while being safe for the daily commute, having won multiple tests in wet conditions. However, if you lean more towards comfort and low rolling resistance, the PremiumContact 7 might be a better choice.
The Pilot Sport range from Michelin is now almost legendary, with the Cup variants being the fastest road legal tyres available. But the ‚ordinary‘ Pilot Sport 5 not as spory as it’s name suggest - it’s incredibly well balanced, with the priority being low rolling resistance and high mileage over sporty handling. It’s still a Michelin tire, so higher price is to be expected.
The Turanza T005 was introduced in 2018, but still stands as a great tyre, offered in incredible 350 different sizes. It’s universal also in it’s properties - it’s a balanced mix of wet and dry performance with above-average rolling resistance.
The Turanza 6 is quite a new addition to Bridgestone’s lineup, being introduced in 2023. Featuring the new ENLITEN technology, it should be lighter and have positive effect on fuel efficiency. In the tests, the efficiency is confirmed alongside with higher mileage. That being said, it somehow lacks the performance of other premium tyres, so we would recommend it only when the price is lower.
235/35 R19 doesn't belong to the most popular dimensions for summer tyres - there are 66 tyre models available, which can be compared to 235/60 R18, 245/40 R19, 195/55 R16. Let's break down the sizing - 35 is height of the tyre, which is calculated as 35% of the tyre width (235mm), which means the sidewall height has 82.25 mm. The wheel diameter is R19, which means it fits to a 19 inch/482.6mm diameter wheel. The total circumference of the tyre is 2032.92 mm, which is very similar to 215/50 R17(2031.98 mm), 205/65 R15(2034.18 mm), 275/30 R19(2034.5 mm), 180/60 R17(2035.12 mm), 235/40 R18(2026.96 mm), 235/30 R20(2038.89 mm), 160/60 R18(2039.52 mm). There are multiple speed indexes available for summer tyres in 235/35 R19: W(270km/h), Y(300km/h). The same goes for weight indexes: 87, 91. You can find 235/35 R19 on 30 car models - mainly Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Ferrari, Hyundai.
