The Sava Intensa UHP 2, the successor to the Sava Intensa UHP, and the Michelin Pilot Sport 4, the upgrade to the Pilot Sport 3 Series, are two of the popular tyres on the market. Both are developed as summer tyres, but they exhibit distinct differences in performance and test results.
The Sava Intensa UHP 2 earns 67% in our ratings. Despite its lower ranking, it exhibits remarkable strengths in various tests. According to Autobild and ADAC, it notably scores well on Aquaplaning - cross and price/value, solidifying its position as a cost-effective choice that provides decent safety in wet conditions. In terms of fuel efficiency and mileage, this tyre shows commendable performance too. However, it only ranks 17th out of 53 in Autobild tests and 6th out of 16 in the ADAC assessment.
On the other hand, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4, crafted in Spain and Germany, ranks higher overall with an our rating of 84%. It demonstrates proficiency in numerous areas, earning high marks in aquaplaning (both cross and longitudal), dry braking, and wet handling according to Autobild. It also scores well in terms of mileage in the ADAC test. In general tests, it consistently performs better than the Sava model, seizing the 2nd position in both Autobild and ADAC tests. This tyre has been now replaced with the new model - Michelin Pilot Sport 5.
