When it comes to summer tire options, the market offers plenty of choices. Two such choices are the Sava Intensa HP2 and the Barum Bravuris 5 HM. These tires come from respected manufacturers, Sava and Barum respectively, whose tyre quality is well-acknowledged among users.
The Sava Intensa HP2 is a model that replaced the previous Sava Intensa HP. It falls under the category of summer tyres, and is an effective and lightweight option. Its merits, however, are seemingly sparse in comparison to some of its observed cons. As per the testing evidence, this tire demonstrates noticeable weakness with not being fully balanced and having issues in driving safety. Its performance on both dry and wet roads was rated subpar, leading to an overall downgrade in its test results. Additionally, it offers lower mileage, and exhibits more wear and tear. Nevertheless, despite its drawbacks, its ranking stood at 12th out of 18 tyres in the ADAC test and 22nd out of 53 in the Autobild test. This suggests that while it may have certain weaknesses, it is not amongst the worst performers in the market.
The Barum Bravuris 5 HM, on the other hand, does not have any previous models that it has replaced. Its rating has been relatively low at 39%, which is significantly lower than that of the Sava Intensa HP2. Despite this, its position in the tests carried out illustrates a close competition with the Sava Intensa HP2, as it stood at 13th out of 18 in the ADAC test, just one position behind, and 29th out of 53 in the Autobild test, which is not an egregiously bad performance.
In conclusion, both tyres have their strengths and weaknesses. While the Sava Intensa HP2 offers efficiency and lightness, it falls short in terms of balance and safety. The Barum Bravuris 5 HM, though ranked moderately lower, poses a close competition in the mutual tests. Ultimately, the choice would depend on the specific requirements and preferences of the users. However, it is clear from the tests conducted that with a higher overall ranking, the Sava Intensa HP2 could possibly be a more favourable option when compared to the Barum Bravuris 5 HM.
