Today, we're comparing two potent all-round tyres - the
Kleber Quadraxer 3, and the
Michelin CrossClimate 2. Both tyres have a significant mark in the industry, produced by two distinguished manufacturers, Kleber and Michelin, respectively.
The Kleber Quadraxer 3 is a successor to the Quadraxer 2, boasting improvements in comfort and snow handling. Produced in Poland, it has scored an impressive 90% in our ratings. It's particularly appreciated for dry braking, comfort, and snow braking in tests. However, its downside includes delayed steering response and subpar wet handling.
The Michelin CrossClimate 2 is a continuation from the original CrossClimate tyre, manufactured in Italy and Spain. It tops our ratings at 96%. The CrossClimate 2 has been celebrated for its dry and snow braking, snow handling, snow traction and unsurprisingly, having "very good levels of comfort" and "very low rolling resistance." But it does fall short on wet braking and wet handling.
Comparatively, in the Autobild test, out of 15 tyres, the Kleber Quadraxer 3 secured the 4th position while the Michelin CrossClimate 2 ranked 9th. These positions reveal that both tyres perform well relative to other competitors.
To summarize, Kleber Quadraxer 3 provides better comfort and snow handling but falls short on wet handling. Meanwhile, the Michelin CrossClimate 2 performs exceptionally well in dry braking, snow braking, and snow handling, but comes with average performance in wet conditions. Thus, choosing between these two depends on your priorities - whether you are looking for comfort and snow performance or superior dry braking and snow handling.
Remember to always check your vehicle's specifications and your region's conditions before making your final decision.
