The Continental SportContact 7 and the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 are both top-rated summer tyres in our tests, with a rating of 100%. Let's delve into a detailed comparison of these two models.

The Continental SportContact 7, made in CZ, SK, and PT, is the latest model in the SportsContact series by Continental, following the SportContact 6, SportContact 5, and SportContact 3. It excels in dry braking, dry handling, and wet braking, contributing to its first position in the SportAuto test. It shows excellent balance, high grip level, and stable, fast handling. However, it's not top-level when it comes to curve grip on wet surfaces, and it has slightly increased bypass noise.

Meanwhile, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6, manufactured in DE, is another superb model in the successful F1 Asymmetric series by Goodyear, succeeding the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 and 3. It impresses in dry braking, steering response, and wet braking, earning second place in the same SportAuto test. The tyre offers secure handling with broad borderline areas on wet roads, spontaneous steering response, and high driving safety on dry roads.

In the Autobild tests, however, Goodyear outperformed Continental. The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 scored first place, thanks to features like good exterior noise, comfortable drive, low rolling resistance, and excellent performance in aquaplaning and cornering on wet surfaces. The Continental SportContact 7 ranked second with convincing safe braking performance on wet and dry surfaces, dynamic corner handling, and stable guidance. Nonetheless, some noticeable drawbacks are subpar comfort and less security while corner-aquaplaning.

At the Autozeitung test, Continental regained the crown with its exceptional dry braking, dry handling, wet braking, and wet circle cornering capabilities. The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 managed third place only, although it had significantly less exterior noise than its competitors.

Our verdict is that these are both premium models in the summer tyres category, leading in handling, braking, comfort, and noise levels. Although, the Continental SportContact 7 came out on top in more mutual tests, their performances are considerably close, and the choice between them could pivot on individual preferences and driving conditions.
