Here we present a comparison between two summer tyres: the Avon ZV7 and the Sava Intensa UHP 2. These tyre models have been tested extensively for their performance, durability, and safety across multiple conditions.
The Avon ZV7, manufactured by Avon, ranks a bit low with 48% in our review. Despite its subpar overall rating, in the ACE test it ranked 9th out of 17 tyres, and its best feature was noted as its exterior noise. This shows that the Avon ZV7 performs commendably in providing a quiet and comfortable ride.
On the other hand, the Sava Intensa UHP 2, an offering from Sava, fared much better overall with a score of 73%. This summer tyre showed impressive performance in the Autobild and ACE tests by securing the 11th and 2nd positions respectively. The Sava Intensa UHP 2 excelled in wet handling, dry handling, exterior noise, and wet circle cornering. This tyre was also the clear winner regarding price/value ratio and had a low rolling resistance which contributes to fuel efficiency.
The Sava Intensa UHP 2 is a newer version of the previous model Sava Intensa UHP, with many improvements regarding performance and value for money. Meanwhile, the Avon ZV7 has not been replaced by a newer model yet.
Taking into consideration the test results and our ratings, the Sava Intensa UHP 2 appears to outperform the Avon ZV7 in most categories, particularly in traction on both wet and dry surfaces. However, the exterior noise feature of Avon ZV7 is its highpoint, adding to its value in terms of providing a comfortable ride. So, if exterior noise is a primary concern, consider the Avon ZV7. But, if you value overall performance and value for money, the Sava Intensa UHP 2 is the better pick overall between the two.
