When it comes to summer tyres, the competition is fierce and it's vital to make the right choice for your vehicle. Today, we're comparing two popular options - the Debica Presto HP2 and the Fulda EcoControl HP2. Both tyres offer great features but in different areas, and understanding these can help you make a more informed choice.

The Debica Presto HP2, a summer tyre by Debica, receives our overall rating of 84%. In the Autobild test it secured 16th position out of 53 tyres. Its major strengths according to the test were its price-value ratio. The Autobild 2024 test, however, highlighted its good environmental balance, good service life, abrasion and efficiency as its strong points while marking down for not being completely balanced and having weaknesses in driving safety.

On the other hand, the Fulda EcoControl HP2, replacing the older model Fulda EcoControl HP, is a product of Fulda. This summer tyre gets our rating of 79%. Despite getting 20th position in the Autobild test, which is slightly lower than Debica, it was praised for exterior noise and aquaplaning - cross. In the Autobild 2024 test, positive points included good environmental balance, good service life, abrasion and efficiency. However, it was marked down for not being completely balanced and having weaknesses on wet roads.

When comparing mutual test positions in ADAC, Fulda EcoControl HP2 ranked better at 13th position out of 50, while Debica Presto HP2 stood at 15th place.

In summary, both the Debica Presto HP2 and the Fulda EcoControl HP2 have their strong and weak points. If value for money is a high priority for you, then the Debica Presto HP2 is a great choice. However, if quieter exterior noise and better aquaplaning are what you prioritize, then the Fulda EcoControl HP2 wins. Both however, show some weaknesses in being fully balanced and in their wet performance.

While the overall results show Debica Presto HP2 receiving a slightly higher rating from us, the final decision would mostly depend on individual driving style, geographic location and personal preference.
