Each of these tyres offers unique features and advantages, but also some cons that have been well reflected in several comprehensive tests conducted by relevant experts in the tyre field.


Produced in the Netherlands, the Vredestein Quatrac 5 received an overall rating of 36% in our tests. It was rated 6th out of 27 tyres in the Autobild test, with attributes like Exterior noise being its strongest features. On the AutoMotorSport platform, it placed 5th out of seven, and with the ADAC test, it maintained the 7th position with highlights being its Dry driving behaviour and its comparatively quiet Interior noise.


On the other hand, the Nexen N Blue 4 Season tyre is made in China and Turkey. This model received a more warm welcome with a rating of 62% in our tests and was replaced by Nexen N Blue 4 Season 2. It performed well in the Autobild and AutoMotorSport tests, ranking 8th out of 27 and 4th out of 7 respectively, and finally claiming the first position in the ADAC test. Notable features include its performance in Snow cornering, Price/ value, and its reduced level of exterior noise.


In terms of strengths, the Vredestein Quatrac 5 offers lower exterior noise which is a significant advantage for everyday driving. It also excels in dry driving behaviour, internal safety and a lower level of Interior noise. On the other hand, Nexen N Blue 4 Season stands out with various notable features like its reasonable price, reduced exterior nose, and impressive performance on Icy roads.


The weaknesses of the Vredestein Quatrac 5 majorly lay in its overall lower standing in the conducted tests. Alternatively, the Nexen N Blue 4 Season showed no specific weaknesses, evident in the solid qualities that allowed it to uphold a leading position in a majority of the tests.


In conclusion, both tyres have their unique strengths and minor weaknesses. However, superior test results indicate that the Nexen N Blue 4 Season offers more overall quality features, thus, earning a higher recommendation.
