The Toyo Proxes T1 Sport and GoodYear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 are both summer tyres which have been compared over the years in various tests. The tyre manufacturers, Toyo and GoodYear, are known for their high-quality products, and these tyres are no exception. However, the performances of these two tyres show significant differences.

The Toyo Proxes T1 Sport manufactured in Japan, didn't get much high praise in the test results. Marked as the 10th position in AutoMotorSport among 11 evaluated and 19th in Autobild's test against 53, the Toyo tyre received the most positive feedback for its dry steering response and exterior noise. Yet, it generally falls behind the GoodYear model in most tests.

Conversely, the GoodYear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5, made in Slovenia and Germany, clearly stands out in test comparisons. Holding the 1st position in both Autobild and AutoMotorSport and 3rd in ADAC, it shows an appreciably better performance than its Toyo counterpart. Among its strengths are aquaplaning resistance, both cross and longitudinal, dry braking, dry steering response, low exterior noise, and comfort. The GoodYear tyre also boasts exceptional wet braking and handling and impressive mileage, maximizing its value-for-price proposition.

Interestingly, the GoodYear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 is a successor model to the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3, showing the brand's continuous commitment to delivering advanced tyre technology. Furthermore, it has already been replaced by a newer model in the same lineup - the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6, which may offer even more enhancements and improvements.

In conclusion, although both the Toyo Proxes T1 Sport and the GoodYear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 carry their respective strengths, the overall test data favours the GoodYear model for its comprehensive capabilities and high quality. It is important, however, to consider individual driving conditions and preferences when choosing tyres.
