Today we are comparing two popular tyre models, the Tomket Sport and the Nokian WetProof. Both of these models are summer tyres, however, the manufacturer for Tomket sport does not disclose where they are made, while the Nokian WetProof is proudly made in Finland.
Upon analysing various tests, it's clear that Nokian WetProof outperforms the Tomket Sport. In the Autoklub ČR, ADAC, and Autobild tests, the Nokian WetProof consistently ranks within the top ten, securing the 6th position, while Tomket Sport falls behind, placing 16th, 37th, and a dismal 49th place respectively.
The Tomket Sport, according to Autoklubcr 2023, is praised for being light and efficient and has a low wear and tear rate but shows imbalanced performance and weaknesses on both dry and wet surfaces. As such, it has an overall website rating of 11%. The tyre is known for its underperformance in terms of mileage and visible weakness in sustainability. It seems Tomket hasn't produced a new model to replace the Tomket Sport.
On the other hand, Nokian WetProof shows a more balanced performance and is rated highly for being good on both dry and wet surfaces. It's also praised for its efficiency but does have a few weak spots. These include a poor environmental footprint and weaknesses in terms of mileage and wear and tear, and slight weak spots in sustainability. Despite the weaknesses, the tyre has an overall website rating of 74%. Similar to Tomket, it seems Nokian hasn't released a newer model to replace this Nokian WetProof.
In conclusion, the Nokian WetProof by Nokian is overall a stronger option when compared to the Tomket Sport due to its superior test positions, better on-road performance and higher overall rating. Even though both models show weaknesses when it comes to sustainability and mileage, Nokian WetProof consistently outperforms Tomket Sport in all the considered tests, making it a more reliable choice.
