The Tomket Sport and Bridgestone Turanza T005 tyres are both designed for summer use, with various differences in performance based on multiple tests.
The Tomket Sport tyre, manufactured by Tomket, achieved a rating of 11% in our tests. In the Autoklub ČR test, it found its place at the 16th position of 19. It slipped further in the ADAC test, ending up in the 37th position out of a total of 50 tyres tested. In the Autobild test, it ranked at the distant 49th position of 53 tyres. Based on a summary from the autoklubcr 2023 test, the strengths of the tyre are that it is very light and efficient with low wear. On the downside, it exhibits imbalances with weaknesses on dry and especially wet roads. It also has a low mileage and significant weaknesses in terms of sustainability.
On the other hand, the Bridgestone Turanza T005, manufactured by Bridgestone, scored a high rating of 92% in our tests, which is a considerable leap ahead of the Tomket tyre. It also performed well in other tests. Places it earned in mutual tests were consistently high: 3rd position in Autoklub ČR out of 19, 4th in the ADAC test of 50 tyres, and an impressive 7th in the Autobild test of 53 tyres. Its best features typically include its remarkable rolling resistance and wet circle cornering. Autoklubcr 2023 test summary indicates that the Bridgestone Turanza T005 is balanced with good performance on both dry and wet roads, making it a versatile choice for various road conditions. The tests found no notable weaknesses.
The Bridgestone Turanza T005 tyre appears to have been replaced by Bridgestone Turanza 6, suggesting improvements in design and performance.
In conclusion, the data shows that between the Tomket Sport tyre and the Bridgestone Turanza T005, the latter becomes a superior choice, due to its balance in various conditions, efficiency and high test ratings. However, it would be worthwhile for the customer to also consider the Bridgestone Turanza 6, which is the newer model that replaced the Bridgestone Turanza T005.
