Comparison Test Results
The Sava Intensa UHP 2, a product of Sava and a successor to the Sava Intensa UHP, is well-rated by our team, securing an impressive 73% rating on our website. The Sava Intensa UHP 2 was commendable in tests for noise, aquaplaning - cross, fuel efficiency and mileage, and its price/value ratio. In the Autobild test, it ranked 17 out of 53, while in the ADAC test, it held a stronger 6th position out of 16 tested tyres.
On the other hand, the Kumho Ecsta PS71, a tyre product from Kumho, managed to secure a slightly higher overall rating of 77%. The tyre performed admirably in Aquaplaning conditions - both cross and longitudinal. It proved to be especially good in wet conditions. Strengths and Weaknesses
The Sava Intensa UHP 2 is efficient in dry conditions but shows slightly enhanced wear and some deficiencies when operating on a wet surface. On the other hand, the Kumho Ecsta PS71 is very balanced, distinguishing itself on wet surfaces without exhibiting any significant weaknesses. However, for those prioritising noise reduction and value for money, the Sava Intensa UHP 2 is a worthy consideration. Both tyres offer excellent performance, with the decision ultimately boiling down to individual consumer preferences.
The Sava Intensa UHP 2 with some commendable improvements over its predecessor, Sava Intensa UHP, still has room for improvement against more balanced tyres like the Kumho Ecsta PS71. But the relative strengths and weaknesses of each tyre offer credibility to the diversity in choice and allow consumers to fine-tune their priorities while choosing the right tyre for their vehicle.
