Today on our Tyre Tests page, we are conducting a thorough comparison between the summer tyres Sava Intensa HP2 and BFGoodrich Advantage. These two models are known for their unique strengths and you can look into depth with the respective manufacturers, Sava and BFGoodrich.
The Sava Intensa HP2 tyre, successor of the Sava Intensa HP, has a distinctive reputation. According to our ratings, it secured 67%, pointing out its functional efficiency in the tests. However, Autobild found some shortcomings, including safety concerns during drives, and performances under wet and dry conditions. It was also slightly critiqued for its environmental impact and slight wear and tear issues (Abwertung). Eventually, Sava Intensa HP2 ranked 22nd among 53 tyres tested by Autobild and 18th among 50 tyres tested by ADAC. Despite the identified weaknesses, the Sava Intensa HP2 remains a lightweight and efficient choice for many.
On the other hand, we have the BFGoodrich Advantage tyre, with an overall rating slightly higher than the Sava, at 68%. Well- praised for attributes including its comfort and dry handling in Autobild's test, it secured a higher position than its rival - 18th in a pool of 53 tyres. In Autobild 2024's summary, the BFGoodrich Advantage shone with its dynamic dry handling, silent rolling sound, lower rolling resistance, and affordable pricing point. However, it did show a tendency to understeer during wet conditions which potentially affected its ranking of 21st in ADAC’s test of 50 summer tyres.
In conclusion, both the Sava Intensa HP2 and the BFGoodrich Advantage have their individual strengths and flaws. Sava Intensa HP2 performs well in efficiency and weight but falls short in balanced performance and safety under certain conditions. BFGoodrich Advantage brings excellent comfort and dry handling, offset by its minor tendency to understeer in wet conditions.
