In this comparison, we are comparing a tyre from a manufacturer from France (Michelin) against a tyre from a manufacturer from Czech Republic (Barum). Barum is a brand that belongs to the Continental group. Generally, Michelin summer tyres are slightly better rated (79%) than Barum (39%). In this particular case, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 has a better rating of 84% compared to 39% of the Barum Bravuris 5 HM. The first tyre test of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 was done in 2017, compared to 2020 when was the Barum Bravuris 5 HM first tested. Important for this comparison is also the Autobild 2020 245/45 R18 test, where both the Pilot Sport 4 and the Bravuris 5 HM were tested. When it comes to comparison, eu labels can be also interesting - 86% of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 has A wet grip rating, whereas 100% of Barum Bravuris 5 HM has B rating.
