Our in-depth analysis and reviews will focus on the Maxxis All Season AP2 and Nokian WeatherProof tyres. We've gathered data from various reputable test sources to assist you in making the most educated buying decision.

The Maxxis All Season AP2, produced by Taiwanese tyre maker Maxxis, didn't show any replacement tyre. In the Autobild and ADAC tests, the Maxxis All Season AP2 scored 17/27 and 6/9 positions, respectively. However, it performed significantly better in the Autoexpress tests, securing the 4th rank out of 6 tyres.

The Finnish-made Nokian WeatherProof, produced by Nokian, topped the tests. The tests results were consistent across Autobild, ADAC, and Autoexpress where it secured 9/27, 4/9 and 1st positions, respectively. Also, there was no information available regarding its replacement by a newer tyre model.

Strengths and Weaknesses:
The Maxxis All Season AP2 performed well but was unable to top the testing. However, the tyre still offers reliable all-round performance and is a solid choice for everyday use. But it lags in some areas such as snow handling and aquaplaning resistance compared to its competitors.

On the other hand, the Nokian WeatherProof excelled in almost every area tested. Its strengths include excellent aquaplaning resistance (both cross and longitudinal), snow braking, handling and traction. The only notable weakness was the rolling resistance, but this didn't prevent it from coming out as a top performer overall.

Verdict:
After analysing test data, it is safe to say that the Nokian WeatherProof is a worthy winner, offering unmatched performance overall, particularly in challenging winter conditions. However, if you are on a budget and need a reliable workhorse tyre for everyday use, the Maxxis All Season AP2 is still a worthwhile consideration.
