This tyre hasn't had the best test results, securing a rating of just 3% on our website. In tests carried out by Autobild and Autoklub čR, the Matador Hectorra 5 secured the 43rd position out of 55 tyres and the 15th position out of 19 tyres respectively. On the other hand, the Continental PremiumContact 7, a touring summer tyre made in multiple countries including France, Slovakia, Germany and Czech Republic, has performed remarkably well in tests. The previous models are Continental PremiumContact 6 and Continental ContiPremiumContact 5. The tyre received an excellent rating of 99% from our website.
In the Autobild test, the Continental PremiumContact 7 stood at an impressive first position with its best features being resistance to aquaplaning, great dry and wet braking, exemplary cornering on wet ground and low rolling resistance. The individual tests noted the tyre's excellent aquaplaning reserves, short braking distances, dynamic handling behavior and overall good return on investment. The same tyre secured first position in the Autoklub čR test with comfort, dry braking, wet braking, and wet handling being its strong features. You can read more about Continental PremiumContact 7 here.
In conclusion, the Continental PremiumContact 7 stands out with far better test results and qualities. The Matador Hectorra 5, although comfortable, does not compete at the same level.
