In this review, we will be comparing two popular all-round tyres - the Kleber Quadraxer 3 made in Poland and the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 made in Czech Republic. Both have been tested by reputable automotive magazines such as Autobild and have been well-received for their performance, despite their different strengths and weaknesses.

The Kleber Quadraxer 3, a replacement for the Kleber Quadraxer 2, is a tyre that excels in comfort, exterior noise, snow cornering and snow traction. Despite scoring a commendable 87% rating in our tests, it has shown a delayed response in steering and understeer in wet handling. In the AUTOBILD test, it secured the 7th place out of 37 tyres with its best features being its comfort and snow performance. However, in Autobild 2023 and 2024, its delayed steering response and subpar wet handling were noted as areas for improvement. Kleber has certainly made significant improvements from their previous models while keeping a focus on specific strong features.

In contrast, the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 has a slightly lower rating of 85% in our tests. Still, it showed an impressive performance in exterior noise suppression, rolling resistance, snow handling, and wet driving conditions. This model particularly stood out for its snow and wet performance in all tests, securing a 3rd place out of 37 tyres in the AUTOBILD test and a 2nd place out of 16 tyres in another Autobild test. Despite this, it has average resistance to aquaplaning and a higher price point, as observed in Autobild 2024. Despite not having a specific tyre to replace, Continental has forged a reputable position with this all-around performer.

In conclusion, the Kleber Quadraxer 3 performs exceptionally well in comfort and snowy conditions with room for improvement in wet handling. The Continental AllSeasonContact 2, on the other hand, stands as an all-rounded performer with great snow and wet handling, although its resistance to aquaplaning could be better. With only a 2% difference in our ratings, the choice between these two would largely depend on one's driving conditions and preference for comfort or overall performance.
