The two rivals, Bridgestone Potenza Sport and Pirelli P ZERO PZ4 both summer tyres, have been subjected to numerous tests, but they generally reveal the strengths and weaknesses of each tyre. These tyres are manufactured by the world's leading tyre manufacturers, Bridgestone and Pirelli respectively.

The Bridgestone Potenza Sport, made in PL and HU, shows excellence in dry braking, dry handling, and both subjective and objective wet handling. The model has consistently ranked high in various tests, including 4th position in ACE's test out of 10 tyres and 2nd in Autozeitung's and Autobild's tests. However, it seems to underperform in terms of dry braking and tends to have longer braking distances at lower temperatures, which were highlighted in the sportauto 2023 and autobild 2023 tests respectively.

On the other hand, the Pirelli P ZERO PZ4 had an edge for wet objective handling in the ACE tests and dry steering response in the SportAuto tests. This tyre placed 5th in ACE's and Sportauto's tests, 3rd in the Autobild test, and 2nd in the Gute-Fahrt test, demonstrating a competitive performance. However, it somewhat lacks in wet braking and has an increased rolling resistance according to the sportauto 2023 report.

Summarizing the test data, both tyres exhibited uncommon performance with the Pirelli P ZERO PZ4 slightly ahead with a rating of 93% as opposed to the Bridgestone Potenza Sport which scored 92%. Even though the Pirelli P ZERO PZ4 sports an increased rolling resistance and average comfort according to the autobild 2023 report, it still stands out for its excellent wet and dry handling and superior grip level.

While both tyres demonstrated an increased rolling resistance and average comfort, they performed exceptionally well in both wet and dry conditions, attaining high scores and maintaining top positions in most of the tests. Notably, both proved to be great choices in terms of dry handling and wet safety, generally providing good balance and precise steering behaviour.

Overall, the choice between the Bridgestone Potenza Sport and the Pirelli P ZERO PZ4 depends largely on personal preference and specific driving conditions. Both models have not yet been replaced by newer models, thereby maintaining their relevance in the ultra-high-performance segment.
