There are several notable differences when comparing two summer tyres: the Apollo Alnac 4G from Apollo and the Nokian WetProof from Nokian. These differences are evident in the results of several tyre tests conducted by trusted organisations such as Autoklub ČR, ADAC, and Autobild.

The Apollo Alnac 4G, according to our tire tests, earned a rating of 46%. While it did not have a previous model it replaced nor was it replaced by a newer model, its overall performance level is less satisfactory than that of the Nokian WetProof. Reviewers noted the tyre's efficiency as a strong point, however, it displayed some weaknesses. In particular, it was criticized for its unbalanced performance, lesser endurance on both dry and wet roads, and relatively high wear, as observed in the autoklubcr 2023 test.

In comparison, the Nokian WetProof earned a significantly higher rating of 74%. Manufactured in Finland, this tyre performed well in various tests, making a better overall impression. Nokian WetProof was praised for its balanced performance on both dry and wet surfaces and its efficiency. However, issues were identified in its environmental performance, durability, and slightly in sustainability. It scored earliest 6th place in the Autoklub ČR and Autobild tests, significantly outperforming the Apollo Alnac 4G which ended 14th and 21st, respectively.

In mutual tests, both the Apollo Alnac 4G and the Nokian WetProof displayed their best and worst features. In the case of Apollo Alnac 4G, it managed to score relatively better in the ADAC test, where it ranked 6th out of 15 tyres. Conversely, the Nokian WetProof took 11th place in the same test but was commended for its noise reduction and wet circle cornering capabilities.

Given these test results, it is clear that the Nokian WetProof outperforms Apollo Alnac 4G in several key areas. Its advantages over the latter include better handling on wet and dry roads and better noise reduction. However, the sustainability and environmental performances of both models might appeal to some customers.

In conclusion, it is recommended that individual tyre performance metrics, customer reviews, and further tests, if available, are examined before making a decision. Keep in mind that every driver's needs and priorities are different, meaning that what makes a tyre perfect for one might not be the same for another.
