When it comes to summer tyres, two models that stand out are the Cooper Zeon CS8 and BFGoodrich Advantage. However, based on our tyre tests data, they score differently in performance, comfort, and overall value.

Starting with the Cooper Zeon CS8, this summer tyre is manufactured in the UK. Here on our website, we've evaluated and given it a rating of 56%. Notably, the tyre has a solid performance on wet roads. However, test results from Autobild and ADAC suggest room for improvement with a position of 26/53 and 33/50 respectively. In terms of weaknesses, our tests show that this tyre has distinct shortcomings on dry surfaces, environmental imbalance, limited tread life, and abrasive weakness. Furthermore, efficiency and sustainability are areas of concern.

On the other hand, the BFGoodrich Advantage scores considerably higher in our review with a rating of 76%. This summer tyre, whose manufacturer can be found here, performed well in our mutual tests. In the Autobild comparison, the tyre secured the 18th position out of 53, excelling in comfort and dry handling. Similarly, in ADAC's test, it landed the 21st spot among 50 tyres.

Its strengths include dynamic dry handling, quiet rolling noise, low rolling resistance, and a competitive price tag. The tyre provides stable driving behavior and short braking distances on dry tracks, combined with a pleasantly quiet rolling comfort. Nonetheless, it has been reported to understeer and provide extended braking distances in wet conditions.

In conclusion, the BFGoodrich Advantage outperforms the Cooper Zeon CS8 in most of the tests and is seen to offer better value. Despite this, the final choice should still take into account specific driving conditions and personal preferences.
