When it comes to all-round tyres, two particular models stand out: the Kleber Quadraxer 2 and the Maxxis Premitra AS AP3. Let's take a more in-depth look at these products from Kleber and Maxxis respectively, focusing on the test verdicts, strengths, and weaknesses.

The Kleber Quadraxer 2 made in Poland got 33% rating from our site. Tested in Autobild, it ranked 19 out of 31. Its greatest strengths are its low exterior noise and its outstanding performance on snow-covered roads, in terms of braking, cornering, and handling. According to the Autobild 2020 review, this tyre was praised for its "excellent performance on packed snow, short dry braking paths, quiet rolling noise, good mileage, and economy." However, its weaknesses lie in its "limited reserves for curve aquaplaning." A newer model of this tire, the Kleber Quadraxer 3, has since replaced this version.

Moving on to the Maxxis Premitra AS AP3, a tyre produced in China boasting an impressive 63% rating from our site. Amongst tested tyres, it captured the 4th position in the Autobild test. Advantages presented by this tyre include a relatively low exterior noise and excellent aquaplaning performance, both cross and longitudal. It also demonstrated excellent dry braking. "Good safety reserves during aquaplaning, dynamic handling, and short braking distance on dry surfaces" were noted in the Autobild 2020 review, though the tyre was criticized for its "moderate mileage, understeering driving behavior, and extended braking distances on wet surfaces."

In conclusion, both tyres perform decently as all-round tyres. Though they have their own strengths and weaknesses, whether it be noise exteriors or performance in various weather conditions, the Maxxis Premitra AS AP3 does slightly edge out the Kleber Quadraxer 2 in overall performance. However, the Quadraxer 2 can offer a quieter and more confident drive in snowy conditions. The choice ultimately depends on your driving requirements and preference.
