The Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 bagged a rating of 79% in our review, while the Michelin Primacy 4 earned an impressive rating of 89%. Both tyres showcased strong performances in different arenas.

The Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 achieved a laudable 7th position in a test featuring 51 tyres conducted by Autobild, with its standout features being comfort and longitudal Aquaplaning. Moreover, it displayed commendable aquaplaning properties, precise handling in wet conditions and short braking distances both on dry and wet surfaces. Its comfortable ride and reasonable price were also appreciated. Its only setback seemed to be a slightly delayed steering response on dry roads.

On the other hand, the Michelin Primacy 4, while falling slightly behind the Dunlop at the 8th position in the same Autobild test, showcased excellent dry handling and comfort capabilities. The tyre impressed with superior handling quality, sharp steering, good aquaplaning reserves, and short braking distances. Its high mileage and low rolling resistance are worth mentioning, justifying its high price. The tyre demonstrated the best scores on dry roads and wear, though it exhibited slight weaknesses on wet surfaces.

Meanwhile, in a smaller test of 17 tyres conducted by ADAC, the Michelin Primacy 4 outperformed the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2, securing the 5th position as compared to the latter's 6th spot. The Michelin Primacy 4 stood out for its dry braking, safety, and mileage.

In conclusion, while both delivers solid performances, the final choice may depend on specific requirements. The Dunlop SP Sport MAXX RT2 scores high on comfort, wet handling, and value for money. However, the Michelin Primacy 4 shines with excellent dry handling, high mileage and safety, despite its higher price and slight weaknesses on wet surfaces.
