Our data is based on multiple tyre tests conducted by reputable organizations, and we consider factors like performance, features, strengths, and weaknesses.

Continental PremiumContact 7

The Continental PremiumContact 7, made in France, Slovakia, Germany, and the Czech Republic, is the latest model successor to the Continental PremiumContact 6 and Continental ContiPremiumContact 5. It consistently ranked first in tyre tests conducted by Vibilagare, Autobild, ADAC, and Autoklub ČR.
This summer touring tyre performed exceptionally well in areas such as Aquaplaning - longitudal, Dry handling, Rolling resistance, Wet braking, and Wet circle cornering. However, average aquaplaning resistance and increased external noise were noted. The Continental PremiumContact 7 received our highest rating of 100% due to its highest level of wet grip overall, shortest dry braking, and best dry handling.

Hankook Ventus Prime 4

The Hankook Ventus Prime 4, a successor to the Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125, scored modestly in comparison, ranking 6th and 4th in the Vibilagare and Autobild tests respectively, and 8th at the ADAC.
Solid strengths of this summer touring tyre include Aquaplaning - longitudal and Exterior noise, as well as good dry handling and short dry braking distances. However, it had a lower aquaplaning resistance and a high external noise level. Our rating for the Hankook Ventus Prime 4 stands at 85%, taking into consideration its moderate performance in the comparative tests.

Verdict

In comparison, the Continental PremiumContact 7 overall offers a more balanced performance, securing top positions in all tests, and proves exceptional in wet and dry conditions. The Hankook Ventus Prime 4, while delivering solid performance, falls short in some areas including aquaplaning resistance and noise levels.
